Suddenly, there you are, scrolling through your favorite online shop or walking out of a store with bags in hand—bags you didn’t exactly plan for. But in the moment? It felt right. It felt like a little reward, a way to balance out whatever stress was hanging over you. That’s retail therapy in action. But it’s short-lived, and it can leave us wondering afterward, “Why did I really buy that? Did I actually need it?”
